Abe Foxman, you frivolous poltroon:
Israel’s advocates in the U.S. called Clinton’s words Friday “a gross overreaction.”
“We cannot remember an instance when such harsh language was directed at a friend and ally of the United States,” said Abraham Foxman, president of the staunchly pro-Israel Anti-Defamation League.
I know! What did Israel possibly do to deserve this! It’s not like it responded to Vice President Biden’s goodwill tour with an offensive and dangerous provocation that punches the indirect talks right in the kidneys! And it’s not like the U.S. has tens of thousands of troops in the Middle East who have to live with the ripple effect of regional instability stemming from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict! And it’s not like the U.S. is the one international power that Israel can’t afford to humiliate or alienate, because, like, China will protect Israel from the Goldstone Report at the United Nations! Israel is and shall forever be free to act like the spoiled rich kid on the playground who shrieks when his nanny tells him it’s time to let someone else on the swings!
